Our Mission

Peace of Mind Mental Health Counseling was built with the focus to allow individuals the space to put themselves first. Between living in a fast paced environment and societal beliefs, we are conditioned to believe that putting yourself first is a selfish act. However, at Peace of Mind, we believe that it is impossible to pour from an empty glass. To put it simply: how can you be someone for anyone if you aren’t someone for yourself? We are sensitive to understanding that living in a fast paced world, it is often difficult to make time for ourselves. Our mission is to have individuals gain the ability to put a pause on all the chaos happening in our external world and take time to focus on what brings you happiness and how to be the best version of yourself you can possibly be.

We strive to create a comfortable and safe space to allow clients to be their true authentic self with no judgement. Over time, therapy has been misunderstood to be that the therapist knows best. At Peace of Mind, we believe you are the expert of your life and our goal is to simply walk alongside you through your journey and help guide and support you with whatever you may be struggling with.

 

At Peace of Mind, we believe that every individual is different, even if they may be experiencing similar struggles. This is why we utilize a person-centered approach to help each person varying in ethnicity, culture, religion, gender, and sexuality.
